At the age of 52, I finally flew business class. This has been on my ‘bucket list’ for a very long time, but it wasn’t all that I expected. Find out why, and if you are planning a business class trip for the first time, what I recommend you should look out for.
I wrote this article for TravelAwaits. They are an American Travel Site aimed towards serving the 50+ traveler.
They want to inspire you to explore new destinations, discover new experiences and savour the journey. TravelAwaits’ goal is to share the world’s unique, hidden, and once in a lifetime locations with you to create unforgettable memories. So if you get a chance, pop over to their site, and check out their extensive repertoire.
Happy flying everyone.
I found this article to be interesting – thanks for writing. However, I do think you should make two corrections; Dubai isn’t a country (but the UAE is!) and there is absolutely alcohol in the emirates business class lounge.
Thanks Jeff for taking the time to read our article and for also commenting. We will definitely update the article to reflect that Dubai is not a country. As regards to alcohol, we didn’t see any on offer while there, but it’s good to know, cheers.
What a great article Ruth! I don’t think I’d have been able to sleep given the excitement I felt at you reading the menu 😂 It’s interesting though, I was thinking all the way through ‘what’s not to love’? But when it comes down to it, I wouldn’t trade two months of experiences travelling in the world for 24 hours in business class either. I wouldn’t mind being presented with that opportunity though! Maybe one day…
Absolutely Nicky, if someone else way paying or if money was unlimited I would definitely fly business class again. Sadly that’s not the case and we like to look after our money so we can travel some more. I hope to see you one day in or around Europe. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Wow – thank you for allowing us to live vicariously as biz class passengers through you! As yet, we haven’t had that experience for long flights, just short-hop ones in the Americas. Maybe someday we’ll splurge 🙂
Good luck with your splurging – just check what plane it is on first. Not all airlines have fabulous business class travel and we were lucky to experience this with one of the major airlines.
My kids beg us to fly business, we tell them that when they are paying it will become an option
Lol, that makes sense to everyone, except the kids.
